Tea Room Setting

Annvita Tea Room is very cute yet elegant. Blue is the main theme color, and they mainly use wooden furniture upholstered with blue velvet and gold trims, which are probably inspired by English style clubs.

Annvita has definitely paid a lot of attention on details. Every corner of the tea room is cutely decorated, from the engraved tables, place mats, to the sterling silver forks and spoons with Annvita’s name written all over.

Beside offering tea and snack, you can also buy various tea sourced from around the world. They carry all type of teas you can imagine, including black tea, green tea, fruity tea, lohas herbal, milk tea, and much more.

The fine bone china that are used for afternoon tea are all stunningly decorated and it is a joy just to admire all the tea sets they carry.

Annvita also sell Fine Bone China that are supplied by Hudson and Middleton est. 1875. The china are all made in England.

Tea Selection

Annvita Tea Room carries over 100 kinds of tea, therefore one of the difficulty is probably picking which tea to enjoy! Luckily, the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable and will happily provide you with suggestions.

We ordered two type of tea, the first was the hot pink beauty custom milk tea. Annvita insists on making its milk tea by adding the teas into warmed milk and infusing the tea directly into the milk, resulting in a smooth and rich cup of tea. The tea has milk and sugar already added into the pot, so you don’t have to worry about mixing yourself. Being a milk tea fan, I must say I am very impressed by how creamy and flavorful this tea is. The taste of milk and rose tasted tea blended in perfectly to create calm and harmony, perfect for afternoon tea.

The second tea is the cold green fruit tea. The green tea base is blended with a fruit-infused syrup, with sliced fresh fruit; pineapple, kiwi, apple, and oranges. The tastes very refreshing and fruity, perfect to cool down during hot summer days.

Victorian Afternoon Tea Tower

Highlight of Annvita is definitely the beautifully decorated afternoon tea trays. At Annvita Tea Room, afternoon Tea can be enjoyed any time during the day. Traditionally, it was a “full” meal, which was comprised of tea, savoury snacks, sweets, and cake. There are three tiers in the Victorian Afternoon Tea Tower:

1st Tier: Savory

The bottom layer contains savory food that are great to fill up the stomach while enjoying the tasty tea. It includes Mushroom and Cashew Pâté on Crostini, Miso Beef with Wasabi on Crostini, Devilled Egg, Tuna Salad Finger Sandwich, and Turkey and Arugula.

Our favourite was the Miso Beef with Wasabi on Crostini. It was a pleasant surprise to find Annvita using traditional Japanese ingredients such as miso and wasabi to fusion with the afternoon tea!

2nd Tier: Scones and Fruit

Scones are a stable of English of English afternoon tea and Annvita has of course included it in the menu! The scones have soft texture and goes well with the house-made buttercream and strawberry rose jam. The fruit are all very fresh and add a colorful touch to the tower.

The buttercream and jam are placed on a cute tea pot shaped plate. Annvita Tea Room is just full of these amazing details!

3rd Tier: Sweets and Cake

Finally the top layer has all the sweets and deserts, which are the highlight of the meal! There are Profiterole, Pavlova, Macaron, and Mille Crepe Cake (layered crepe cake). It was amazing to find Annvita include Mille crepe cake with the set as these cakes are so popular and takes a lot of effort to prepare. The pavlova were delicious as the meringue was crispy yet flavorful! (Note the Profiterole has now been updated to a whipped mousse tart with berries!)

Overall we enjoyed Annvita Tea Room very much as the tea were delightful, decor was very cute, and and afternoon tea tower has well designed variety.

Tips: watch for Groupon as they would have Annvita deal from time to time!
