Last fall we received the Sudio Vasa BLA wireless earphone and immediately fell in love with it. We were impressed by how comfortable, lightweight, and convenient are and it became our daily go-to earphone.
We were excited to hear that Sudio has also launched a new on ear Bluetooth headphone line and were very excited to try them out!

Design and Built 
True to its Swedish origin, Sudio Regent is very beautifully and elegantly designed. They use wire frame to connect the ear cups and headband. This is a simple yet clever design as it allows flexibility but does not add too much weight.
To make the headphone unique and truly yours, there is also the option to customize the headphone with various earcup plates. We used the white marble design, and it definitely adds a special touch to the usually simple and boring headphone designs.
There are three buttons on the bottom of the right headphone, which gives you the typical volume and play/pause controls. There is no microphone on these headphones, meaning that you cannot talk on the telephone with the Sudio Regent.
We must say the headphone is very comfortable. It is light, weighting only 177g, so won’t add too much weight to your head. There were nice amount of padding built on the headband and earcups, so it feels comfortable even after a full day of use.
One downside to the headphone is that it does not come with any carrying case, so you will probably want to find a good pouch to protect the headphones when carrying around.
Sound Quality
Overall we really liked the sound quality of these headphones. Sudio Regent comes with a 50mm dynamic speaker driver and offers a frequency response between 18Hz and 22kHz.
The sound is clear with sufficient depth. It is well balanced between bass, mid, and treble. We have tested on variety of genre, from pop, rock, J-pop, metal, classical, and podcast, and the headphone is great for all general daily use. We compared the sound quality with the Beats Solo Wireless headphone, and must say there aren’t not too much difference, despite the Beats $100 CAD more expensive.
Real Life Usage
You can use the Sudio Regent headphone via Bluetooth for wireless freedom. For those who prefer wired, it also comes with a standard 3.5mm cable so you can plug in to your phone or laptop.
The Bluetooth is very easy to connect and has a range of 10m or 33 feet. To connect, just Press and hold the centre button on the headphone for five seconds until a red light begins to flash, and just connect on your device’s Bluetooth menu. Simple like that. In our real life test, we were able to walk around our condo wireless with solid connection throughout.
Battery life is great too with one full charge lasting 24 hours. Charging is via microUSB, so you can just use any USB cables available and don’t have to worry about bringing extra cable around.
We brought the headphone with us on our trip, and it was great to use on airplane. Even though this is not noise cancelling headphones, Sudio Regent covers the ear pretty well, so it will block out most of the engine and airplane noises, giving you a quiet and comfortable trip.
Conclusion
Overall we really liked the Sudio Regent headphone and would recommend to anyone. The headphone is very comfortable even wearing whole day, wireless Bluetooth worked really well with strong connection, and well-tuned quality.
While for commute we still prefer the compactness of an in-ear earphone such as Sudio Vasa Bla, the Sudio Regent has become our go-to on ear headphone for gym and computer work, which is a major vote of confidence.
