One of the gem in the Toronto dessert scene is definitely MoRoCo Chocolat, where all chocolates truffle, macarons, and cakes are freshly made in store. We have recently visited their new location and let’s see what is available for Valentine’s Day!

MoRoCo Chocolat is a Toronto gourmet chocolate boutique founded by Kelly Kimel. Kelly is an avid chocolate lover and traveler with goal of offering the best luxury chocolates to be enjoyed by all. Since opening the original MoRoCo location in Yorkville in 2008, MoRoCo has become one of the premier sweets destinations by foodies in Toronto and have been featured in Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, and BlogTO.
MoRoCo Chocolat moved to this new location near Casa Loma in late 2016. They used to be in Yorkville with a full service sit down restaurants serving brunch and high-tea, but in this new location they have narrowed their focus to just chocolate, pastry, and drinks.
Menu
Truffle
Gourmet Truffle (six for $13.25, twelve for $24.95, or twenty four for $48) is MoRoCo’s signature creations. All the truffle are freshly hand-made in store. They have over 29 selection of truffle from 5 different themes:
- Playground – For the kid in you

- Nuts & Caramels – For chewing and Crunching
- Exotic – Far away Flavor
We especially enjoyed their creative creation, such as Thai Me Up (Delicate lemon essence with basil and fresh mint infusion), Soft Serve (Tahitian vanilla bean cream), and Sakura (Delightful sweet cherry and intense aged Port).
Macaron
Beside chocolates, MoRoCo are also well-known for their macaron. They offer over 12 unique flavors are are all very colorful! Macaron were extremely popular the morning we visited with boxes flying off the shelf. We recommend everyone to come in early in order to get the flavor you wanted!
Cakes
There is also a good selection of cakes, with the McQueen cake their most popular selection. It is topped with a golden skull, inspired by British fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Eclair
Beside Eclair, MoRoCo also offers mini eclair. There are five flavors (Chocolate, Raspberry, Pistachio, Salted Caramel, and Original) and all of them tasted extremely yummy.
Gelato
MoRoCo carries gelato from Death in Venice, including special flavors such as sweet corns.
Drinks
MoRoCo also offers a wide selection of beverages, with of course the hot chocolate and frozen hot chocolate as their signature drinks.
