Dishes

Satay Sate

First up we had the Ayam Goreng, which is Indonesian fried chicken. Unlike other fried chicken, Satay Sate used dark chicken meat, seasoned with turmeric and candlenut. This is definitely an interesting taste and we enjoyed this over other fried chicken!

Satay Sate offered beef, chicken, tofu, and tempeh sate. All of them are wonderfully tendered and well marinated with their house made peanut sauce.

For those who prefer wraps, Satay Sate also offer sate wraps grilled to perfection served with homemade peanut sauce.

This is the 2017 new menu which is the Indonesian fried rice. We loved the rich flavour of the fried rice, and that perfect sunny side up egg!

All of the entree are served with rice, acar (salad) and an excellent peanut sauce. You can also add Shrimp crackers and we highly recommend it!

Overall we really enjoyed our first experience of Indonesian cuisine, and Satay Sate definitely did not disappoint. We will visit again when we are in North York looking for quick service lunch or dinner!
